Lil Flip gets beats from The Track Studio

Flip Gates a.k.a Lil’ Flip is a recognized Dirty South rapper from Houston, Texas. He has collaborated with the likes of Jay Z, Chamillionare, Paul Wall, Three 6 Mafia and Ludacris and is vibrant in the hip hop undergound. Lil Flip’s path to The Track Studio started with his introduction to producer/engineer Chris “Kino” Salmeron through a mutual friend and show promoter of the Immortal Soldierz and evolved into a beat collaboration relationship. Flipper made an appearance on the Immortal Soldierz track “I Smoke Blunts.” As far as solo material is concerned, the word is Flip Gates is transitioning to a hip hop/rock sound, which just so happened to fit the criteria in Salmeron’s audio library. Overall while in the studio Flip was a humble, gracious guy to everyone and a clever lyricist. Soon after word got out that Lil’ Flip was recording at The Track, people were jumping at the opportunity to have Flip on one of their verses. One of those was Boome who commissioned Gates to freestyle on “Gametime.”
