Registration Fee: $50 per student (one-time payment made prior to scheduling)
Tuition is paid on a monthly basis prior to the first lesson at the rates listed in the table below:
|LENGTH||VOCALS||INSTRUMENT||REC TRAINING (GR)||REC TRAINING (2)||REC TRAINING (1)|
Lessons are priced at the following rate per lesson: voice lessons are $32.50 for a 30 minute lesson and $60 for a one hour lesson. Instrument lessons are priced at $30 per 30 minute lesson and $50 per one hour lesson. Recording training lessons are priced at $30 per hour for group, $40 per hour for pairs, and $50 per hour for private lessons. The same rate structure applies to recording training classes of more than one hour. There are 50 lessons provided during the course of the year with the studio closed the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Tuition must be paid before a student is admitted to lessons. A student is not considered enrolled at The Track Studio until payment has been made. Tuition is non-refundable and must be made by automatic credit card or bank draft processing via online sign up. Requests to opt out of the automatic credit program must be made directly with the studio but the same standards apply with regards to timeliness of payments and all lessons’ policies.
Payment is expected for all private lesson students enrolled at the beginning of the month, whether students attend lessons or not. We have a specific lesson time reserved for each student, thus payment must be made regardless of attendance. This includes illness, holidays, vacations, etc.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also process automatic bank drafts through ACH.
Holidays & Pricing Methodology
For private lessons, tuition is the same every month – regardless of how many weeks/lessons are in that month. We process payments at the beginning of each month for that month’s lessons. Tuition is based on a rate of $32.50 per 30 minute voice lesson and $60 per lesson per one hour voice lesson ($30 and $50 respectively for instrument lessons). There shall be 50 lessons per year as no lessons are scheduled the entire week of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Additionally, the studio is closed on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. If a student’s regularly-scheduled lesson falls on one of these days, the student has the option of scheduling a make-up lesson for the lesson missed. Therefore, to calculate the monthly tuition fee rate simply take the per lesson rate times 50 yearly lessons divided by 12 months.
Schedule & Leaves of Absence
Students are encouraged to maintain the same appointment time each week, except during holidays. The studio recognizes that some students plan summer holiday trips with their families so lessons may be suspended for up to 4 weeks for such trips with no penalties nor re-registration fees. Parents should notify the studio at least 2 weeks prior to taking a leave so that regular monthly billing may be suspended.
Missed Lessons & Tardiness
Students taking monthly voice, music lessons, and private recording training classes may make up missed sessions once each semester (16-weeks), or 3 total lesson make ups per year. It is the student’s responsibility to track such cancellations. The studio requires 24-hour notice of a lesson cancellation. Lessons must be maintained in their respective time slots and will not be extended for students arriving tardy. Lateness of more than 15 minutes of the scheduled lesson length will be considered absent. Students will be billed for the full session if absent unless the studio was notified 24 hours prior stating the student would be missing the session and requesting a make-up lesson. The studio will prominently post to its website notices of cancellation due to extraordinary circumstances such as bad weather or power outages. Both the instructor and studio should be notified in the event of an approved cancellation, otherwise the lesson is deemed completed.
There are no cancellations permitted in group and pairs recording training classes. Students in group and pairs recording training classes may participate in another recording training class held during the same week in which they miss a class if space is available and for the same length of time they regularly schedule and are billed. The studio does not guarantee that class material will be the same for such make ups, as those of the regularly scheduled missed classes.
Students should bring instruments to their lessons that are tuned and properly maintained so that the training experience is maximized. Always remember to bring your music or if it is lost immediately advise the studio so that we may replace it (the student must bear the cost of replacement). Students will be taught proper care of studio supplied equipment and are expected to adhere to such care guidelines.
Arrival, Departure, and Waiting Room:
Parents are asked to drop off and pick up students no more than 15 minutes prior to, or after conclusion of the student’s lesson. Further, we recommend that families limit the number of members brought to attend lessons as a courtesy to others. Persons waiting in the reception or lobby area should wait quietly so as not to disturb students and instructors. The waiting areas are unsupervised and no food or drinks are permitted in the studio.
