Kirk Franklin
Kirk Franklin stops in the studio to record the introduction to his audio book for his latest autobiography motivational work “The Blueprint”
After appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show as a grammy award winning multi-platinum recording artist turned sex addict, Kirk Franklin exposed himself in a new light. As a man of the Bible and preacher of gospel word, Kirk helped expose some of the realities of being a fallable Christian. He recorded his last album with the likes of Bono, Celine Deon, and The Roots but has since been taking time off of recording music to write his autobiographical book. Kirk grew up near The Track Studio in Fort Worth, Texas to a rough upbringing. He was picked on by bullies at school for being smaller than the rest of the children. He was raised by crack addicted family members in poverty. However, he overcame adversity and rose to prominence as a gospel act. He entered the studio in his workout clothes having just come from the gym, Kirk was very humble but also on a very strict schedule on behalf of his label. After recording commenced, Franklin was in a hurry to going to speak at an inner-city school to deprived children. One can be sure Kirk Franklin will continue preaching the word of God whether it be literature, music, or any other medium. The Track Studio’s very own engineer Aaron Wolpin worked the session under demands from the label to the scrutinizing standards of professional audio books. Since the session, Aaron has made a reputation in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for specializing in audio book recording.
