Josh Pearson

Josh T. Pearson comes back from Europe to record material at The Track

Pearson straddled up his boots to make his way from his new home on a German farm to the old Denton, Texas farms he used to call home. Josh made a name for himself in the band Lift To Experience, but now exclusively does his own solo efforts. Pearson is a deeply religious man, one who insisted on sleeping on the bare floor of the studio in order to “receive its energy.” This project consisted of producer John Congleton, Paper Chase bassist Bobby Beaver, and drummer Andy Young. Josh used a Fender Jazzmaster through vintage Marshall plexi’s during the session, yet struggled to maintain creative work flow. At one point Pearson co-produced a project in Denton during his own recording session! Unfortunately the Josh T. Pearson session tapes remain unreleased and may never end up seeing the light of day. While at the studio Pearson noticed a guitar strap with skulls and crossbones on it that he liked so much we decided to give it to him as a gift. In exchange we received tickets to his show opening for My Bloody Valentine at the Palladium Ballroom. Josh is signed to Bella Union along with Midlake, Robert Gomez, and other indie artists. Let it be known that Josh T. Pearson does not forget his Texas roots.
