The Robotix led by drummer Logan “Robot” Gladden recorded an upcoming EP release with John Mayer drummer and producer Aaron Sterling as well as engineer/producer Brian Scheuble notable for recording such artists as U2, Motley Crue, Liz Phair, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Sting, LeAnn Rimes, Herbie Hancock, Don Henley, Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, Michelle Branch, Backstreet Boys, Dave Mathews, Bon Jovi, Marilyn Manson, Fiona Apple, Elton John, Gavin DeGraw, and Kate Voegele. The band recorded renditions of Led Zeppelin – “Rock & Roll” as well as other original music. Additional production accompaniment was provided by Spin Doctors bassist Mark White.

Part of the Texas Country Red Dirt movement, Stoney is a true southern country rocker. However, during this trip to the studio Stoney would be taking part with vocal duties on none other than a children’s song! Denton singer/songwriter Timothy Jarrod Smith departed on a journey of musical exploration at The Track Studio with his latest and greatest musical project Hot Coffins. Use of samplers, exotic percussion, horn sections, and vintage tube guitar amplifiers were deployed to enhance musical expression during the session. R&B Gospel producer and musician Joel Mccray recorded a selection of Jazz based material in the studio with help from some of the finest musicians in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The band consisted of Leslie Hammond, drums, bass, and other assorted keyboards. Vocals will be overdubbed but the rest of the music was performed live to capture a natural feel only capable in a spacious well tuned studio setting. 12 year old singer Morgan Elam has been recording her album at The Track Studio & Music School in Plano with her father and songwriter; Trey Elam. Zack and the boys came to the studio as of late to record their newest single to be released. The guys specifically came to The Track to get the biggest drum and percussion sounds for their rockin’ rhythms. Jia and his classical instructor recorded a very intricate clarinet concerto piece made famous by Carl Maria von Weber. The performance contained piano accompaniment and was to be intended for a school recital. Kristen is a professionally trained vocalist in music theory, composition, and performance and teaches singing lessons in a vocal studio. Forming out of a mutual passion for rock music, the members of Just the Tip live and breath music. Jon (Guitar), Carlo (Bass) and Alex (Drums) all met while working at a music store in a Dallas suburb. Realizing that they had musical chemistry they decided to form a band. Jared (lead singer) would move down to Texas to finally form the band. The quartet got a practice spot and moved in, practicing regularly, writing music and evolving their sound. “Just the Tip” was a name born out of a combination of drinking at the neighborhood bar and anxiously needing a band name before their first official show. After all, a band can’t go on without a name, right?

Beau Tyler formerly of the alternative group Rescue Signals recently stopped by the recording studio and instrument lessons school in Plano to record some acoustic guitar tracks. Bob Brewer the singer of Dallas Loverboy tribute band “Coverboy” entered the studio to sing along to demo recordings of the hit singles to Mike Reno’s famous band. The group plays such songs as “The Kid is Hot Tonite,” “Everybody’s Working for the Weekend,” “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” and “Hot Girls in Love.”  Check out some of the audio tracks from the session!

When he was just one, Logan’s parents began posting videos on YouTube of Logan playing his drums along to classic rock songs by bands such as The Beatles, Kiss, Queen, and Led Zeppelin. These early videos quickly became popular on the internet and were only the beginning for Robot! Numerous rock stars and professional musicians have seen Robot’s videos on the internet and, as a result, he has gotten the chance to play drums on stage during sound checks with various bands. In 2009, after the producers of Barney and Friends saw him on YouTube, Logan (then 5 years old) was cast as a rock and jazz drummer in two music videos that were featured in numerous episodes of Barney and Friends, which aired worldwide in the fall of 2010. Following the Barney shoots, Logan began expressing an interest in other forms of entertainment – including singing, piano playing, and acting.

Amanda Mills is a local student from Jasper High School near Frisco, TX. She arrived at the studio with her voice well prepared to engage in some tremendous karaoke singing. She ended up recorded immaculate versions of popular radio singles performed by Adelle to instrumental tracks uploaded by none other than The Track Studio’s audio production team. Local voice coach Erin Munoz was put to task recently training student Tina Ray in the Plano recording studio and musical school, The Track. Tina hoped to train her voice and overcome various vocal obstacles to perform with her Black Crowes cover band Majik Rooster Revival. She gained a ton of experience through her training including overall confidence and proper breathing techniques for better control of her voice. Singer/Songwriter Jesse Marchant hailing from New York, New York came to the Dallas independent studio and music labeled school to work exclusively with Indie Rock and Alt Country producer/engineer John Ashley Congleton. The band recruited the usual session musician drumming by Midlake drummer McKenzie Smith with other assorted instrumentation such as lap steel guitar and grand piano. Teachers and students alike trickled in from Allen, TX independent school district to do some recording. The elementary school from which they came is called Bolin and members of their very own Parent/Teacher Association lit up the studio with happy and smiling faces. The group entered the recording environment on the premise of capturing a History sing-a-long jingle composed by teacher Scott Jordan. Band founders Joseph Gifford and Sebastian Medina had been friends since age 3 but starting a band was the farthest thing from their minds…especially an edgy metal music band! Their paths separated during the teen years as Sebastian was homeschool educated and Joseph went to Wylie High School. Ultimately the 2 got together, teamed up with a rhythm guitarist, and female bassist Meg Williams. The band came upon the name “Running with Oranges” from a Mexican-oriented spoof of 300 in which a woman was literally running with oranges. All the way from Wichita Falls, musical sensation Casie Luong spent some time in the studio spinning out her epic debut record with audio engineering teacher and music lesson guru Aaron T. Wolpin. her closest friends and music mentors sat in for the session work to serve not only accompanying instrumentation but also for the moral support necessary in driving home a truly one of a kind and spectacular artistic performance.
